Playing chess games online can be a new and exciting challenge. Chess is won by placing your opponent’s king in “checkmate.” This simply means that it is impossible for your opponent to move their king to safety (or remove or block the threat) in a single move, and that you have won the chess match. You may either move your king, or block or capture the threatening piece. If any opponent piece threatens to take your king, you are placed in “check.” When in check, you must make your king safe with your next move. Rooks can move forward, backward or sideways, as long as there is space available. Kings can move in any direction, but only one square at a time. Queens are able to move in any direction and can move as many spaces as are available. Pawns can attack, but only diagonally and in a forward direction.īishops move diagonally and can move as many spaces on the chess board as are available. However, on its first move, it can move two squares. Pawns can only move forward one square at a time. They are the only piece that can jump over other pieces in the chess board. Knights move in an L-shape: Out two squares and over one. I’ve been using it for years now and it’s only getting more addicting. To begin playing chess, you can move either a pawn or a knight. Overall, the app has got to be one of the best you can get. Premove is still an awesome feature though! Just be sure. That’s a fairly new feature though so perhaps there is a way that I’m not aware of. Also, you can move one move ahead of time while your opponent is thinking (the piece won’t actually move until your opponent moves), but once you do there’s no undoing it unless you premove another piece. Somethings that I don’t like are if you start a SLOW game (which takes days to play), you have to wait at least 12 hours to cancel a game. He gets his support from players buying the PREMIUM version of the app, but the free has plenty of features as well. Also, there are no ads of any kind and no submitting personal information except run of the mill login info. If it really bothers you, then you can turn it off in the Options menu, but I don’t recommend it. It’s annoying at first since you’re not used to it, but once you do, it’ll save your victory infinitely more times than it’ll cost you it. Things that I love are the SUBMIT button after every move. You can tell that the creator of the app cares about chess a lot and has built the app around what most advanced players want. Come on, the whole point of chess is to have fun and play fair!Ī really good chess engine with a lot of features to it. Honestly it really took all the fun away when there are people like that. Of course next day I saw his account get banned ha! Feel great when cheaters get punished. I reported one because I played about 20 games with that person to prove it. I’m sure many players met with those before. I notice that some people also cheat with computer, every move is literally using the same time like he doesn’t think lol, extremely consistent like a robot. I hope the developer can ban this cheater. If anyone watches that game, they would call that absolute bogus. My whole 28 seconds went to 0 while his 0.9 seconds lasted till the end, and he had 0.1 second left (how convenient lol). At the end of course I lost due to time because apparently having 28 seconds cannot beat someone with 0.9 seconds. His 0.9 seconds never went down for many moves! It kept glitching and glitching and stayed at 0.9 seconds for a while. I had this one game with him, he had 0.9 seconds when I had 28 seconds left, and we moved at the same speed. He has software that can freeze his clock. Unfortunately there are a lot of cheaters on this platform! For example, don’t play with this person called mistermaster from Iran who has elo score around 2174. * Browse your opponent's games, and their opponent's games. * User Profile including picture, comments, etc. * Analysis Board to work out your strategy. * Claim Victory if opponent does not make a move in the time allowed. * Search for opponents by username, email, or we'll match you with a random opponent. * Play up to 5 games at a time, or increase it to 100 with In-App purchase. * Play even when there is no internet connection. * Receive push notifications when a game is updated. * Advanced features such as Conditional Moves and Premoves. * Statistics - ELO Rating, Wins, Losses, Draws. * Game features are driven by your feedback. * Features are chosen and implemented carefully.
